Dr Helen Cornwell 
has returned home to Newcastle after many years. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in Adelaide after which she worked in regional NSW, SA and Victoria. Helen then moved to Melbourne to undertake her specialist training at The University of Melbourne and The Royal Children’s Hospital going on to become a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Helen is a Visiting Officer at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital as a part of their cleft palate team as well as working with the University of Newcastle as a part of their Oral Health Unit.

Helen has lectured both locally and internationally on many aspects of paediatric dentistry, dental trauma and sport dentistry. She is a member of: Australian Dental Association; Australasian Academy for Paediatric Dentistry; Australian and New Zealand Society for Paediatric Dentistry as well as being Australia’s representative for the International Society for Sport Dentistry and Trauma.
